Have you ever heard of Shungite?
Maybe yes, maybe no.
If you have, you might have heard of its healing properties and how you can use it to ground yourself and protect yourself from EMF’s. But, have you heard it can be infused in water for powerful and amazing benefits?
I guess you haven’t?
Before we delve into the benefits of Shungite infused water, get some and learn a little about the Shungite stone.
History of Shungite
Shungite is a rare stone made and the elite is made of about 98 percent carbon. It’s the oldest hydrocarbon-based rock in the whole world and can only be found in one place – the Shunga region of Karelia located on the shores of Lake Onega, which is in Russia.
Shungite is believed to have been formed more than 2 billion years ago. That is a lot of years, by the way, and that is before organic life existed on the earth.
Dating back to the 1700s, Shungite has been used by the locals of that region to purify their water and for its healing properties. This includes insect bites, burns, rashes, skin irritations, and relieving pain.
It is also believed that during this period, Peter the Great learned about the healing properties of Shungite and ordered that the streams passing through the stone be examined. Once his discovery had been confirmed, he set up a Shungite spa and used the stone for purifying water for his army.
More recent decades have seen a lot of research carried out on the benefits of the Shungite stone.
What makes shungite unique and has come to be accepted scientifically is the presence of fullerenes in the stone.
What are Fullerenes?
Fullerenes are molecules consisting of carbon atoms. A fullerene can link up to 60 carbon atoms into the shape of a soccer ball.
The discovery of fullerenes by scientist Richard Buckminster Fuller awarded him the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1998.
These carbon molecules have antibacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory properties. They can also act as long-lasting antioxidants and have immune-stimulating effects on the human body.
Types of Shungite
Shungite has two types; elite Shungite and black or raw Shungite.
Elite Shungite is the purest form of Shungite, consisting of up to 90%-98% carbon. It is believed that only 1% of Shungite is elite Shungite. This is because it’s manually mined by hand as a result of its delicate structure. This type of Shungite has a silvery metallic sheen to it.
This is the most common type of Shungite. It’s black and contains 50%-70% of carbon. It can be shaped and polished easily compared to elite Shungite, which can flake easily.
Although, with not enough carbon concentration like the elite carbon, it is just as effective.
Shungite in Water: Benefits
When Shungite is placed in water, the fullerenes will attract and neutralize waterborne contaminants. In return, it enriches the water with oxygen, magnesium, calcium, and other vital minerals.
A study carried out by the International Journal of Advanced Scientific and Technical Research shows that Shungite is beneficial in water treatment and purification because of the absorbent nature of the fullerenes it contains.
Shungite can absorb up to 95% of contaminants in water. Some of these contaminants include:
- Other microorganisms
- Heavy metals
As a powerful antioxidant, Shungite can remove free radicals 30 times more than normal carbon. How it does this has not been fully understood by scientists yet. It also helps to increase enzyme activity, normalize cellular metabolism, and stabilize cells.
Although the effects and impacts of fullerenes are still being researched, the potential healing properties of shungite can be seen in the following cases.
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Liver disease
- Kidney disease
- Chronic fatigue
- Gastric issues
- Sore throats
- Gastric issues
- Pancreatic problems
- Autoimmune disease
- Gallbladder problems
- And many more!
Shungite can bring relief to these problems because of its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Other Benefits of Shungite
Aside from the beneficial effects of infusing shungite in water, this rare stone also possesses other amazing benefits.
- It can shield electromagnetic field emissions. Users claim this stone protects against EMF, and therefore place it around or on EMF devices such as microwave and Wi-Fi routers.
- It balances our bioenergetic field. Shungite is believed to correct energy imbalances that can lead to persistent tiredness, fatigue, depression, stress, and recurring illness. Using it for meditation does wonder.
- It can shield us from negative energy. It is believed that the absorption properties of Shungite don’t stop at absorbing waterborne contaminants. It can also absorb the negative energy around us. Most people use it as wearable protection.
- Shungite doesn’t take on a negative charge. This means the original state of Shungite is retained no matter what negative energy is around it.
Our Process of Infusing Shungite in Water
To ensure we provide you with the cleanest and most purified water, we don’t miss this stage. Adding Shungite to water is actually the seventh stage of our water filtration process.
After we have mineralized the water, the water passes through a shungite filter that is specifically formulated for our water flow.
How you can use your Shungite water
Drinking Shungite water is great, but its use doesn’t stop here. You can use your Shungite water for:
- Watering plants
- Cut flowers
- Drinking water for your pets
- Cooking, coffee, and tea.
Nothing beats infusing your water with the powerful and beneficial properties of the stone Shungite.
However, this is not the end of our water filtration process. After adding Shungite to our water, we also add crystals to increase the vibe or frequency of the water. Then, we finally charge the water with positive intentions. If you’re looking to hydrate your body with the best quality of water, then take a walk into our WaterBar.
